Letters!!

A reminder that the final draft of the letter is due Friday, Feb. 13th. I will NOT accept late work. Remember, the final letter needs to be at least 2 pages in length. You should bring 2 copies, one in an addressed envelope with postage.

I think it said in the description somewhere that if the plan is to deliver the letter electronically (Facebook for me), we just need to provide a link in our reflection....Is this correct?

Also, do we put any necessary citations in our reflection letter or our actual letter? Or at all?

Jake,
In answer to your first question, that is correct. Just provide the link. However, I'm not sure if FB is the best medium for your letter. I think it could work, but let's chat about it in class tomorrow.

Second question, you only need citations if the letter calls for citations. Remember, most letters don't have them. But, if you quote something or would like to make a large reference, you could throw in the name of the text. No page numbers or MLA formatting is necessary. And for the reflection letter, you don't need citations either. Just think about the genre. Do most reflection letter have citations? Do most letters have citations?

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response!
The reason why I chose Facebook over e-mail is that it seems more convenient for my group. If I post it as a message on our group everybody will be able to see it and post public questions/comments about it. It will also remain there....forever, as opposed to an e-mail that just would end up deleted. I also don't want to physically mail it because I want it available for instant digital reference.
Thanks again for your help, I think it's coming along fine!
